the Bonus disc is one of the reasons I am buying it!!...The 32 minute jam on #41 with the flecktones is worth it for me!...Thanks DMB. You don't get much cred around these parts, thanks though

Who is this DMB band? They look very serious in their photo. Are they a christian rock group?
Any help is appreciated...

They are only releasing this because they have to (RCA).

The bonus disc makes it worth the purchase though. I was front row center on 4.20.02 for the 32 min. #41 with the Flecktones.

DMB jams they just get a bad rap because of some radio play and their fans but they rock

They get a bad rap because they play the same songs in back to back nights, soemtimes 3 in a row. I agree that they can rock, and they have talented musicians, but it's not a hwole lot of fun, if you can go to a show and predict the whole setlist

DMB jams, anyone who says they don't is just ignorant. I'm starting to get sick of these jam band snobs.

They can Jam alright but the guitar work is too weak.....and what a bunch of sell outs we already knew dave was a sell out but I mean seriously a best of album thats weak.

I like that they don't do the A typical guitar solo all the time(don't get me wrong I love guitar solos) and change up with sax and violin and drums and the occasional keyboard jam. these boys can jam and deserve a lot more respect than they get on here. And if they are a sell out for having a "best of" album, then aren't The Grateful Dead, The Allman Bros. Band, The Band, and so many other great influential bands out there sell outs too? Or is DMB the only one, just because you don't like their "scene" and you think you are too enlighted and way more hip than the majority of their fans?

Dave and his band are hugely talented and they happen to appeal to a very wide audience...jam band devotees as well as soccer moms. Is it really their fault that they make fabulous music? Does that make them sell outs? Not at all. DMB also donates serious cash to a large number of charities (check out bamaworks), as well as take part in a bunch of benefit concerts...now that is not selling out! Let's all buy some DMB and jam together...

Although their music is less improvosational then most of us like it is a diservice to our selves to rule them out as a "jam band". I'm grateful for bands like DMB to bridge the gap btw the mainstream. In most cases peoople have never heard of most of the music I listen too. DMB gives me a point of reference and open up some conversation about music. If Jambase can support My Morning Jacket ! Veterans of the live music scene like DMB ceratinly deserve a place of respect. I will be adding this disc to my collection. Much love to Dave and the boys~

yea i think some people on here get to wrapped up in "defining" a jam band. like some people have said DMB opens to a wide audience. that is true and they are also a gateway to the jam world. before i listened to DMB i wasnt a jam-fan at all but after my first DMB experience in charlotte back in 2003 i became a huge fan and my favorite bands are jambands. i do think DMB has opened up to more of a general audience but i also think they were a huge force in the 90's to open peoples eyes to the jam scene. and for people that say DMB needs better guitar work, who are you to say what is good guitar work... dave is ultra talented to play confusing songs and sing them with so much passion at the same time with such a large band at the same time. and as far as the new cd, i think its a great idea i know ill be buying it.

I love DMB. My first show with them changed my life forever and has helped me on the long road to self discovery. Because of DMB I have become interested in jam bands and have a much more evolved musical pallet than ever before. I just wish the people that show up to the concerts would shut their mouths and stop talking long enough for me to enjoy the songs to their fullest. And for the record, DMB ROCKS OUT when the crowd gives it back, so next time, show some love and respect! To discredit them as a "jam band" is sad because I have seen some of my best jams yet at their shows.
