Delta Nove
After a blazing summer which included shows at Wakarusa Music Festival as well as sold out shows with Ozomatli, Particle, ALO and others, Delta Nove returns east in October in support of their latest release The Future Is When. The album, which is the group's second full length studio album has received national acclaim for seamlessly blending various musical styles as well as world recognition for a creative rendition of Manu Chao's "Bong Bong."

While on this adventure the band is set to join Green Lemon for a few shows in Florida as well as in Raleigh, NC. Delta Nove will also perform a couple String Cheese Incident after-parties including October 6th at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC and on October 10th at Barley's Taproom in Knoxville, TN.

On October 26th the Kinetic Playground in Chicago hosts a Halloween Party featuring Fareed Haque with late night after party featuring Delta Nove. The band will also celebrate a run of shows around Halloween this year with the release of Drink To Bones That Turn To Dust, a tribute album to Oingo Boingo. During this run called "Dead Man's Party," the band will make stops in Columbia, MO, Des Moines, IA, and Lincoln, NE. Delta Nove contributed their version of the classic "Only A Lad" to the CD. Before returning home to California, Delta Nove will stop through Denver, CO to perform with Tea Leaf Green on November 1st.

Coming this winter be sure to keep your eyes out for another album and release parties!

Delta Nove is a fairly good jazz/ world beat band. The pairing with Green Lemon, however, makes this tour very interesting. Great opportunity to see 2 western bands in one sitting.

These guys gotta open for some heady bands in the northeast, gain some exposure up here. They blew me away @ wakarusa right before bisco. IF YA'LL COME NORTHEAST, I'll SPREAD THE WORD! If ya never heard of this band go find some stuff to listen to right now!

Agreed. For me, DN is the next level. They seem to over shadow any band they play with. The Bisco guys were front row at WAKA rockin to these guys. They are for real and getting around.

They are in your face world funk rock!

I said fairly good - that's a compliment not an insult - if you like marching band music.

Its called Second Line and it was derived from bad ass NOLA musicians and this is one of many styles Delta Nove brings! Funk, Rock, Reggae, world, hip hop...these guys do it all.

You said goes east, but I only see dates in the south. No NYC. No Boton, No Philly, No DC.

Saw these guys open String Cheese's second set, second night in Asheville. Had the pleasure of meeting and talking with all of DN backstage before the SCI show as well. Great bunch of guys. It was clear that the crowd thought much more of DN than "fairly good" referred to in an earlier (uninformed) post. You better get some rest before you see Delta Nove - they will wear your butt out. Can't wait to see them in Raleigh next week. Heath, Viking, Bobby, Rob, Dominic - keep bringing it. Peace my friends. Now get your butts up to Virginia Beach!!
