The Bay Area rockers are also playing two very special performances in San Francisco this Friday (9/29) and Saturday (9/30). On Friday they will take the stage at the Great American Music Hall for a unique acoustic show. It will be a slightly stripped down set-up to showcase their more sensitive, poetic songwriting skills. They've only donned this set-up a few times in the past, and all previous performances have been remarkable. Flying Other Brothers open.
On Saturday night they will return to The Fillmore for the third time (second time headlining) for a full-on rock show. The last show at The Fillmore was clear evidence that this young band is capable of making the leap to bigger rooms. Zack Hexum opens.
Tea Leaf Green is also releasing their first official live project, a DVD and CD titled, Rock 'N' Roll Band on October 31st. Busting out of a revitalized San Francisco music scene, TLG's, Rock 'N' Roll Band (SCI Fidelity Records), captures lightening in a bottle.
Available separately in both CD & DVD formats, the film joins the band for an evening
performance at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado and offers an intimate look at a day in the life of a young rock band on the rise. For the DVD, director Justin Kreutzmann, son of The Grateful Dead's Billy Kreutzmann, provides
both a snapshot of where the band is today and clear evidence of where they are headed
tomorrow. Part concert film, part documentary, Rock 'N' Roll Band balances blazing live performances with private moments of artful reflection and presents the magic that is Tea Leaf Green for all to enjoy. Just one viewing will be enough to assure you that rock 'n' roll never died.
