RODNEY SPEED ROCKS CBGB

The rock critics may not have figured it out yet, but the history of the New York City music scene over the last 15 years could never be complete without a chapter on Rodney Speed.

Those of you who know him, know. Rodney has been in the trenches of this shit - as literally as it gets - since the Dinkens administration.

And you think YOU love rock & roll.

Rodney LOVES rock & roll.

In case you haven't seen or heard from Rodney in awhile, he's been working at CBGB since Wetlands closed. And now he's about to lose another club he loved, and whose staff and patrons loved him.

The folks who book CB's have received hundreds of emails from bands who never got to play there: begging for a gig, telling of their lifelong dream to play the room, saying they'll forever be incomplete as musicians and as people if they don't get to play.

Usually, such pleas are scoffed at and delete as fast the index finger will allow.

But there's no way CBGB can close its doors for good before Rodney gets a chance to rock that stage.

And so, this coming Thursday, September 28th, will be the second-ever performance of The Rodney Speed Experience. That's right - a full set of rock classics, sung by a man who is living out his dream as fully as anyone will ever get to.

It's actually just the first act of a really cool bill: Rodney Speed takes the stage at 8pm, followed by Outernational, Dub Trio and FISHBONE.

The show will definitely be sold out in advance, so get on it if you want to rock!

THE RODNEY SPEED EXPERIENCE IS:
ROCKIN RODNEY SPEED - Vox
SCOTT BOOM BOOM METZGER - Guitar
SIR JOE RUSSO - Drums
BACKYARD BILL STITES - Bass
& perhaps some very special guests....

Metzger left particle cause they're based in LA and tour the West a lot and he's gotta stay out east with his Mom. He played a Bustle in your Hedgerow show in august also with Duo.
