Neil Young Opens Archives For Fillmore CD/DVD

Neil Young
Neil Young has confirmed rumors of the release of his "Archived Performance" series. The first release will be Live at the Fillmore East 1970, due November 14th on Reprise.

The album will feature six selections from Crazy Horse's March 6th and 7th shows at the Fillmore East in New York City, at a time when late guitarist Danny Whitten was in the band.

Live at the Fillmore East 1970 will also be available in a CD/DVD edition featuring a high-resolution audio mix, photos from the show, Young's handwritten song lyrics and press from the era.

In addition to core members Young (guitar/vocals), Whitten (guitar), Billy Talbot (bass) and Ralph Molina (drums), the shows found Crazy Horse augmented by producer Jack Nitzsche on keyboards.

Young just completed a summer tour with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and is preparing for the September 30th Farm Aid benefit in Camden, N.J., and the October 21st - 22nd Bridge School Benefit outside San Francisco.

Six crazy horse songs could give you about an hour and a half of music. Neil is god. Thanks a lot Neil. How about some of the late nineties acoustic tour????
