Green Lemon
Green Lemon is ready to hit the road again for their 2006 Fall Tour which will cover much of the Southeast, Midwest and Heartland. The Fall Tour is expected to continue propelling the band into what looks to be a break out year, building on the successes of 2005. During 2005, the band toured the country from coast to coast playing over 150 shows, was featured in renowned festivals and received numerous accolades.

The band was named the "New Home Grown Band of the Year" by Leeway's Home Grown Music Network and named "Independent Artist of the Year" by Hapi Skratch Entertainment who distributes their self-titled CD. Jambands.com recognized them as the "New Groove of the Month" for March 2005.

The band rounded out the spectacular year by winning Relix Magazine's Jam-Off Contest. Green Lemon was selected from among over 300 entrants to have a song included on Relix Magazine's Jam-Off compilation CD. Relix invited the band to perform a winner's showcase concert in New York City in September during the prestigious CMJ Music Marathon.

Most recently, the band was nominated for a prestigious Jammy Award. Green Lemon was one of six nominees for the New Groove Jammy in April 2006.

Green Lemon blends progressive rock, reggae, electronica and on-the-spot jam improvisation to create the unique sound that is attracting an exploding fan base across the nation. The band members draw inspiration from a wide variety of musical genres. While guitarist Steve Schaben studied jazz in college, his fellow guitarist, Wayne Allen, prefers the sound of Irish rockers U2. Keyboardist Jon Cordero and bassist Jesse Fioravanti listen to indie rock, but drummer Chris Cox enjoys reggae and Maroon 5. Add four songwriters within the group to this diversity of musical tastes and you've got a recipe for auditory bliss. By merging pumping electronica beats with smooth reggae melodies, soaring vocals and some shredding guitar solos, Green Lemon inspired Relix Magazine to declare that they "could very well lead the next generation of jambands." So, be sure and catch a show as they pass through your area.

Green Lemon has a fairly unique sound, but when I saw them @ Wakarusa on Friday night, they just didn't kick enough ass. I kept waiting for the music to get really intense, but it never did.

I'm not saying I won't give them another chance. I'm just sayin' . . .

I really like their album. I wish they would play the mid-atlantic region.

I feel that this could be a bit over done here. I saw them in Des Moines, Iowa and was NOT impressed at all. True the bar was empty but thats where the rubber meets the road if they can play with full intention FOR THEMSELVES...I say downgrade!

This band's music will melt your face! Not only do they have a unique sound, but their show is energetic and you can't help but dance.

Don't believe the haters. Green Lemon is all that and a rat's ass! These guys are freaking AWESOME! I saw them at Smilefest and it was absolutely sick. Ultra modern sound, hard, high energy electronic jam. Imagine a Bothers Past/ Lotus type sound, really jammed out, really psychedelic, but with some great vocals and songs as well - not the kind of vocals that detract from the jam - just great instrumentals + great vocals which fit in seamlessly. Go see them.

I saw them sit in with Bump a few weeks ago in Denver and it was one of the sickest jams i have heard, these guys definately have talent, although i have also seen them where the guitarist was so drunk he could hardly stand on the stage.

I've been hearing alot about this band via jambase and jambands.com so I went to their site to check them out. I must
say this band is weak...its all fluff and no soul. Very weak vocals and drive. Green Lemon is indeed a lemon. Not Impressed. The fact that this band is winning awards is ridiculous and makes me question those sources giving out such honors.

Green Lemon is the sickest shows you could ever go see. I've been to over 60 shows (im from fort collins) and they just get better and better. If anyone didnt have fun just stop being a pussy and get drunker and bring more hot chicks, they love that shit.

I lived inFort Collins about 3 years ago and went to go see this band I stayed for 4 songs and filed them away as one of the worst bands I have ever seen, no real sound, no real soul, so at Wakarusa this year I was surprised that they were playing there but I stopped by to see if they had gotten any better. They hadn't, I am so confused as to how this band tours at all or how people go to there show. They are college band whom were never supposed to go further than being a college band. If you wanna hear a good band that came out of Fort Colling listen to LISTEN!!! they have real talent and get alot less press than green lemon....

def. not the worst band out there....at least theyre out there playing music through the thick and think of it all...

My only problem is that they introduce themselves as being from Colorado....but theyre not! Theyre a bunch of Okies from Edmond that "moved to CO brah"

Not an amazing band by any means, but not as bad as some of these people lead you to believe. Atleast there unique and doing things musically that I don't think anyone else is doing. I have seen them about 7 or 8 times here in okc and yes there show does get old, but if you have yet to see them I would suggest you check them out.

They are unique...Their new songs show their growth and it will be interesting to see what they come up with down the road.
