Farm Aid recently announced artist additions to the lineup for its annual benefit concert to be held at Tweeter Center at the Waterfront in Camden, NJ on September 30. Supporting president and founder Willie Nelson and board members Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews will be Gov't Mule, Los Lonely Boys, Steve Earle, Steel Pulse and many more.
"I am honored that we will be associated with this wonderful organization," said Gov't Mule leader Warren Haynes.
Performing at Farm Aid is a natural progression for the socially conscious Haynes. His annual Christmas Jam, which he hosts in his hometown of Asheville, NC, has provided nearly a half million dollars to Habitat for Humanity's Asheville chapter.
Gov't Mule is currently supporting its ATO Records release High & Mighty. The album debuted on Billboard's Top 200 at #62 for an all-time weekly high in the band's history.
