Today, the legendary Roots crew announced their annual Roots Picnic is returning to Philadelphia's Festival Pier at Penn's Landing. This year's festival will take place over two days – Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3 – boast two stages, and continue in the tradition of year's passed by bringing the latest and greatest of what music has to offer. The 5th Annual Roots Picnic will include sets from The Roots – headlining Saturday – with a little help from De La Soul (backed by the Roots), James Murphy DJ Set (DFA/LCD Soundsystem), Wale and St. Vincent; plus Kid Cudi – headlining Sunday – with Major Lazer, Chill Moody and more.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 16 at 10am and will be available at LiveNation.com, Live Nation Box Office (111 Presidential Blvd, Bala Cynwyd), TLA (334 South St., Philadelphia/ service-charge-free), Festival Pier (Columbus Blvd & Spring Garden St, Phila / day-of-show only) or by-phone at 800-745-3000.
