UM & Redman were amazing!!!! Freddy Jones was so much better than even back in the day. Assembly of Dust!! Heard about 'em and was thrilled to hear that Riverview had them on the bill. What a treat! These guys are sooooooooo smooth on the ears. I urge everyone to check them out!! Ekootsik Hookah - a name I'd heard over the years, but hadn't checked out. They are tight!!!!

Had no idea this Riverview festival was going on in my hometown til Thursday night. Looks to be THE force to be reckoned with 'round these parts. Can't wait til next year!

Anyone tell the Bodeans they're has-beens AND douche bags, too? I was near the side of the stage where some kids were trying to get autographs (why? I have no idea) and they totally blew them off. I absolutely hate that shit and hope the people putting on an otherwise great event, steer clear of bums like this in the future.

Jackie Greene and the Subdudes were just the opposite. Loved their sound.

The next day was great. I'd heard of Ekoostik Hookah, but never saw them. Great vibe. Assembly of Dust?? Holy crap! New one for me and now a favorite. Freddy Jones was another GOOD trip down memory lane.

But the one that did it for me was Umphreys. Talk about cool cats and a great sound.

I'm back at this festival from now on. Good mix of talent. Even with a douche bag band here and there.
