Willie Nelson Teams With Ryan Adams For Songbird

For his new album Songbird, 73 year-old superstar Willie Nelson has teamed up with 31 year-old singer/songwriter Ryan Adams. Set to hit streets October 31st on Lost Highway, all 11 songs were produced by Adams, featuring his band the Cardinals backing Nelson.
The album features covers of Gram Parson's "$1000 Wedding," Christine McVie's "Songbird," the Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter favorite "Stella Blue" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."
In addition to the covers, Nelson reworks his own "Rainy Day Blues," "Sad Songs & Waltzes" and "We Don't Run," as well as the traditional "Amazing Grace."
Willie Nelson is currently on tour with John Fogerty and will be doing a string of shows on his own in September that will take him to Austin City Limits and Farm Aid.
