Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival
The 2006 Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival Presented by New Belgium Brewing is set to be Arkansas' music event of the year. The festival will be held September 22 & 23 at Mulberry Mountain, a 650 acre lodging and events facility located North of Ozark, Arkansas along scenic Hwy 23 the "Pig Trail."
This incredible weekend will feature live performances from over a dozen artists including headliner and bluegrass great Sam Bush, Drew Emmitt Band (of Leftover Salmon), Big Smith, Blueground Undergrass, Shanti Groove, Two High String Band, and many more. Emceeing the festival will be Vince Herman, former front man of Leftover Salmon. The two day music and camping festival will also include attractions such as arts and crafts, music workshops, and delicious food concessions.
The management team at Mulberry Mountain is in the process of constructing what will become one of the largest outdoor music venues in the nation. With similar festivals around the country drawing tens of thousands of visitors each year, organizers at Mulberry Mountain hope to establish an event that will put a national focus on the Arkansas Ozarks and the "Pig Trail."
In addition to being a great festival, the event will also be helping support a number of non-profit groups including the Pig Trail Forest Preservation Society, the U of A Organic Gardening Club, and the U of A Environmental Sciences Club.
