The Breakfast
We are sad to announce the departure of our brother, friend, and keyboardist Jordan Giangreco. Jordan was with us at the start of PB/The Breakfast and has made it thru a 1000 shows over the span of 7 1/2 years. Tim Palmieri will be taking over keyboards at The Breakfast shows while the band looks for a new keyboardist. Below is Jordan's official statement.

"It is with deep regret that I have decided to leave my post as keyboard player for The Breakfast," Giangreco said. "This is one of the hardest decisions I have ever made in my life. For the past seven years I have experienced pure musical bliss that one can only dream about. I feel fortunate and lucky to have played with three of the best musicians on the scene. My experience with The Breakfast has been unforgettable, exciting, humbling and satisfying."

"I would like to thank The Breakfast fans for all their support through the years, and also to thank those who devoted their time and effort on the band's behalf," said Giangreco.

The bands official statement, "We are sad to lose such a great musician, inspiration, and friend on the road. We respect Jordan's decision and wish him success and all the best with whatever he does in life. He will be missed."

"We apologize to all the fans and community about this late and long overdue explanation. Timing is never easy in a situation like this. We are continuing full steam ahead with our passion for music and performing. We look forward to this new musical challenge with Tim taking over keyboards and the whole band picking up new harmonies. We hope to see all our fans at the shows to share the music we have all come to love."

The Breakfast will solicit demos and hold auditions in order to find a replacement. The band will fulfill their tour schedule and commitments, as well as any and all future shows and opportunities during this transition.

These guys are Sick! They spent a few days with us in Moorhead at the Broken Axe and showed us that this band it tight as a trio. Their set was sick at 10klf late night and would recomend to all that catching one of their shows is a must see for 2006. I am excited to see what the new keyboard player is like, but I am sure that the replacement is going to have large shoes to fill!

Cheers Guys and hope to see you soon in the Midwest!

Oh my god. I'm from CT and I consider The Breakfast MY music. I will never forget the two nights at the Puppet House in Branford. Jordan cannot be replaced

Wow,this is some shitty news. So Tim is now on the keys? And not the guitar? Sounds intresting Just imagine a tour with Bernie Worrell... THAT WOULD BE INTENSE!
You were awesome Jordan, best of luck to ya.

I heard about this right before 10klf and decided to skip their show the first night. Everyone that I talked to at the fest the next few days that was there said it was awesome

Jordan was a good man. It's rough to go through this type of change, but having said that, 10klf's Breakfast show was by far the best Breakfast show I've ever seen. As a trio they really freakin' slammed!! It was even more intense than I'm used to from these fellas and I'll never forget that show. What a way to start out one of the best weekends of the summer. Yeehaw Breakfast, yeehaw.

I saw the Breakfast on the Rocks Off Boat Cruise on Wednesday night. I spent the early part of the show on the outer deck taking in the sights, scents and subtle sounds of NYC. Imagine my suprise to discover the quartet band sounds were being produced by a trio with Tim switching effortlessly between guitar and keys with the boat rocking, literally and figuratively. For the life of me I cannot figure out why these guys never blew up like some less-talented bands in "the scene." Maybe they should've kept the "Psychedelic." BONG!

I like the idea of recruiting Brian Felix! If OM trio is no more I would at least like to see all it's members find a new home.

The Breakfast is my favorite band. I first suggested getting Brian Felix from Om Trio on the Breakfast's board, but these guys are so talented they could get by with anybody, or nobody on keys. They could have Condeleeza Rice on keys and they would still be the best band in America!
