ANDREW BIRD FALL DATES

Andrew Bird has just a few more outdoor concerts to work on his tan. Catch him in the following open air locations – I am especially excited about the Minnesota Zoo show, as it’s overlooking a pond full of birds, trees, wildlife, you know…nature.

For all shows, we are offering a limited number of presale /advance purchase tickets with low surcharge, so to avoid pesky service fees, get those in the next few weeks…please note, many of the presales end after a week or 2, so please pay careful attention to the info on the ticketing pages… you can still get tickets after that of course, but there might be higher fees. We’ve also listed out all the local ticket outlets so you can make a fully informed decision. Advance tickets are recommended!

In other news – Andrew will be live on the TV on July 19 on the PBS / WTTW program “Chicago Tonight” – he will do a little Q&A and 2 songs, check it out on Channel 11 if you live in Chicago. Andrew will be on at approximately 7:45 PM.

Also, you can watch 3 songs from Andrew’s set at Bonnaroo at www.blueroom.att.com

I caught him last year opening for Nickel Creek and was very unimpressed. Actually caught moments where he was obviously using pre recorded stuff to fill out his sound. To me that's no bueno. Jeez this guy couldn't be further out of the jamband scene. Why on earth is he getting a plug here? I appreciate diversity in music, but I'm starting to have to filter through a bunch of junk to get to the actual jambands on here.

Hey Cole, that prerecorded stuff is called "looping." Have you heard of that other guy, oh what's his name, Keller Williams, who is "in" the jam scene? Well, he loops all of his stuff together also, and can put on a fun show, but Andrew Bird is the real deal. Also, the junk you filter through is the musical diversity you obviously do not appreciate.

I've been listening to heaps of Andrew Bird since being introduced to his music at Bonnaroo '06. Great stuff, great vibe. Too bad there are no more southeast shows.

to Aiko420´s comments, all i can say is... forget everything you´ve heard and buy or download andrew bird and the mysterious production of eggs that was released last year.. two words .. goosebumps and shivers,, hes not a jammer at all, he´s the best new musician in the last few years and deserves to be bigger than jesus
