COLORADO NOT-FOR-PROFIT CONSCIOUS ALLIANCE ANNOUNCES SUMMER SEASON FOOD DRIVES

LOOK FOR THEM ON TOUR WITH PHIL LESH AND FRIENDS' SUMMER TOUR, THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT'S JUNE-AUGUST DATES, ALONG A SEPTEMBER RUN OF SHOWS WITH DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, AND AT SUCH FESTIVALS AS BONNAROO, ALL GOOD MUSIC FESTIVAL, 10,000 LAKES FESTIVAL, AND OTHERS

ALL FOOD COLLECTED WILL GO TO BENEFIT LOCAL AFFILIATES OF AMERICA'S SECOND HARVEST FOOD SHARE

Boulder, CO – Since its inception three years ago, Boulder-based not-for-profit Conscious Alliance has collected and donated over 500,000 lbs. of food to local U.S. food banks and to impoverished Indian Reservations in the western United States.

This Summer Conscious Alliance continues their mission to feed America's hungry by hosting food drives along Phil Lesh & Friends' Summer Tour, at The String Cheese Incident June/July/August dates, with Dave Matthews Band during their September dates, and at such festivals as Bonnaroo, All Good Music Festival, 10,000 Lakes Festival, and Earth Dance.

Attendees at these events are encouraged to donate 10 non-perishable food items to redeem for exclusive rock art posters. Each poster is event specific. For artist details and poster images visit www.consciousalliance.org. All food collected will go to America's Second Harvest Food Share local affiliates (www.SecondHarvest.com)

For those who would rather contribute money, a $10.00 donation made at the Conscious Alliance booth in the venue will get you a free poster. All monies collected will be used to purchase produce for the Emergency Communities Relief Kitchen in the St. Bernard Parish of New Orleans. So far Conscious Alliance has provided funding for over 120,000 free meals served to hurricane victims in need!

Also this summer Conscious Alliance will bring along with them a traveling rock art show entitled, "Art That Feeds People." Look for the exhibit on display inside each concert venue or music festival. Select artwork from the exhibit will be available for purchase. Funds raised from this exhibit will support Conscious Alliance's other national projects, including a food pantry on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota that supplies emergency food supplies to hundreds of impoverished families every month.
