NEW DYLAN RECORD: 8/29

New Bob Dylan's New Studio Album
Modern Times, Set For August 29th Release

Bob Dylan is scheduled to release his new album, Modern Times, on August 29th. Produced by Dylan, the album will feature blues elements of 2001's Love and Theft with ballads and darker moments that call the Time Out of Mind and Oh Mercy to mind. Dylan's touring band recorded the album with him, creating such songs as: "Ain't Talkin'," "Thunder On the Mountain," "Spirit on the Water," "Workingman's Blues," "When the Deal Goes Down" and "Neddy Moore."

a hand-selected panel of journalists had the priviledge of screening this one...one said that there were at least "3 masterpieces" among the tracks...personally, i'm chompin at the bit to get a listen.

Awesome, Dylan's band that tours with him right now is amazing. I've seen Dylan probably 7 times in the last 2 years and he's deffinately still alive and kickin! Rock on Bob!

Thank God for Bob!!!
I'm glad i'm not the only one who knows he's still got something to say. I'll make a personal guarantee that this new album will be very entertaining and colorful... A lot of energy from the touring band... I wonder if he's got any Larry Campbell left-overs on there?
I heard he wasn't going to record any new material anymore, just re-do his old songs with new people, so to hear this i'm very happy...
"he pushed folk into bed with rock"...

This is going to be great, totally looking forward to the tour for it. I saw him a month after the love and theft album came out and it was one of my favorites. They were very energetic with the new material. Seen him six times and that one was my favorite, so this one should be great too. Bob can do whatever he wants and it will still be awesome.
