This summer, between playing prominent national festivals such as Wakarusa in Kansas and 10,000 Lakes Festival in Minnesota, Green Lemon will host a hometown mini-festival of their own. In its fourth year, Green Lemon's Jam It Up the Poudre Celebration has expanded to fill two days this June at the Mishawaka Amphitheatre near Fort Collins, CO. Twelve bands will perform June 17 and 18 with Green Lemon headlining both nights.

Taking place on June 17 and 18, Jam It Up the Poudre IV will feature four national acts in addition to Green Lemon including Papa Mali, Backyard Tire Fire, 56 Hope Road and Middle Rhythm Session. Many of the area's favorite bands such as 3 Peas, Octopus Nebula, Prism, Kinetix, Vinny and the Jets and Laughing Gas Treatment will provide support for this two-day celebration. Oklahoma band Reido will also make the journey to Colorado to participate. Camping is available at the Mishawaka Amphitheatre which is located 13.7 miles up the Poudre Canyon, northwest of Fort Collins.

camping is NOT provided at the Mish, or on the island. Island camping is only for employees of the Mish. There are several choice places to set up a tent up and down the poudre canyon road though. 3 Peas and Prism are going to rock the house!

Thanks Green Lemon for showing some love to the Prairie State. 56 Hope Road and Backyard Tire Fire are great additions and will tear up the Poudre. Gonna be a great weekend.

I have been to the last three years of Jam It Up the Poudre and Green Lemon gave an awesome performance each time! Every year the event has grown and this year I have 20 friends coming with me. We are all ready to Jam It Up the Poudre with all 12 bands! Can't wait for June 17-18.

After I came to know and love Green Lemon, every time they came to town or I talked to them, I was raving about my friends' band Middle Rhythm Session, while of course telling the MRS boys about the amazing shows GL was giving me. This was all a part of my plan...I needed to see my two favorite bands on the same stage in one night. Well...it worked, and finally they played The Bank right here in St. Petersburg together. WHAT A NIGHT!!! You guys are all SO lucky to have these two hypnotically talented bands coming to rock your part of the country together. I'm sure going to miss my weekly Middle Rhythm Session shows, but I love these guys so much, I can only be happy to share them with the rest of the world. Green Lemon and Middle Rhythm Session are without a doubt, two of my favorite bands to see live, not to mention 10 of the most fantastic guys I know...prepare yourself--this is not the time for self control!

If anyone tapes Papa Mali at this festival, please get in touch with me as I would love a copy of his set! You can contact me at swkelley@hotmail. In fact, anyone with live Papa Mali shows that are not on the Live Music Archive, please contact as I would like to pick up copies. Thanks, Stan
