PHISH LIVE IN BROOKLYN DVD/CD IN STORES JULY 11TH

Phish will release Live in Brooklyn, a brand new 2-DVD set and 3-CD audio soundtrack (available separately) in stores July 11th on JEMP Records/Rhino.

Shot in breathtaking high-definition video, with 5.1 surround sound, the deluxe 2-DVD set features the entire June 17th, 2004 concert (two sets of music) and bonus material including excerpts from soundcheck, backstage footage, and "Taste," "Bug", and "Tweezer Reprise" from the following night's show. The concert footage was directed and edited by Eli Tishberg, a veteran of several Phish projects, including the IT DVD, Live In Vegas DVD and Hard Rock Live (5/23/00 Roseland).

The CD soundtrack - which will be sold separately - consists of the entire first night on 3 CDs remixed and mastered from the band's digital multitrack tapes.

Live in Brooklyn marks the first full, uncut concert DVD by Phish since the 2002 release of Live in Vegas and is the first full show to be presented on 2 DVDs for maximum fidelity and resolution. The Brooklyn shows were simulcast live in movie theaters nationwide - the DVD release includes all footage from the simulcast, re-edited for the best possible viewing experience.

All of them are healthy and young (relatively), they should play if they want to make money...that being said I will still enjoy it.

I saw a number of shows on that tour and can say that they are certainly high quality regardless the naysayers filth. I liken in it to 70s deadheads who say '77 was it, everyone has their own time with their own interpretations of music. I can't wait.
peace

Great show, looked beautiful on the big screen, the rumors had the extras including the Jay-Z performances with Phish from the 2nd night. Nothing mentioned here but regardless it will be added to the collection

i love it! phish should keep the concert dvds coming! how about some old stuff? i saw a guy recording just about every phish show i went to in the northeast in the early '90s with a small video camera mounted on a monopod. i have still never seen any of these recordings but i would really like to. most of the shows i saw him recording at were in old movie houses and places like that. anyone seen 'em around or know where i could trade into some of these? they couldnt be the best quality but i would love to check them out!

This was a great show! I saw it in a movie theatre in Irvine, CA. It was hilarious, because this is a mostly conservative, republican, uptight area. People in the theatre were celebrating 420, bouncing beachballs and balloons around, and throwing glowsticks. People were dancing, and having a great time. The music rocked, and the vibe was great.

It was cool because it was in real time, kind of a new technology. I think this technology should be used more often. There were even people with video cameras inside the theatre and outside, filming the people who attended. I wonder if that footage will make the DVD?

At some point during the night, the management turned off the sound, and told everyone that if people did not stop toking, then they were going to kick everyone out. You might think that people would have stopped, but you would be wrong. People still toked up, and they never kicked us out. It was awesome!

I also went to one of these movie simulcasts for Coventry. That was cool too, except the music was not as good. Thanks for the good times Phish!!!

I think it would be cooler if they did a DVD on the two S.P.A.C nights :)

Hate to be a downer here...but I would not rush out to buy this DVD...the song choices arent bad....but as our heralded redhead says "its not always about what we play but how we play"..and on this night...they played like a really good band..NOT PHISH..At no point during either of these sets was I saying "NO F@#cken WAAAAY!!!! Now enough of these smaller projects and bring on the grandaddy of em all.....GIVE US CYPRESS GODDAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!A SCREENING OF THAT WOULD BE A REASON TO HAVE AN ALL NIGHT PARTY!!!!!!!!

A buddy of mine and I saw this at the theater last night. The show started off slow and built up to what looked like a great second set. Unforunately, the theater was having problems with their satellite feed and the video and audio would cut out or suffer glitches. They lost all audio at the beginning of Maze and then again half-way into Birds of a Feather. Totally harshed my mellow. Ended up leaving early and getting my money back which will be put towards purchasing the DVD. Unfortunately, I don't have a 30' tall TV to watch it on.
