If you are planning to go, get there very early. There is virtually no camping in the canyon. I just got back from the Pickin on the Poudre bluegrass fest last weekend and all but two small campgrounds are closed until Memorial weekend. I am still thinking of going and sleeping in the back of my truck again. It was a disappointment getting there 4 HOURS before the fest and have very limited options. The venue has a little island where I could have camped for $5 but it was so extremely crammed that I opted to go elsewhere. By the way, if you just decide to camp in a closed campground, you will be "asked" to leave when the ranger makes his rounds. This I found out the hard way...twice! This was a minor setback on what turned out to be a great weekend at a fantastic venue. I plan to see a few shows there this year!

Sonic Bloom is going to be ridiculous! See you all in the canyon. For those looking to do this in style, there are so many differnt cabin rental option just 15 minutes down the road. Check out the Glen Ech Resort, Poudre River, Resort or Big Horn Cabins. We stayed at a really pimp place at Glen Echo for $20/ a head.
