Love's Arthur Lee Battling Leukemia - Benefit Concert Set

Robert Plant has joined the lineup for the June 23 benefit concert for Love frontman Arthur Lee who is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Previously announced performers include Yo La Tengo, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah singer Alex Ounsworth amongst others.

Highlighted by the 1967 masterpiece Forever Changes, Love was responsible for some of the most important psychedelic rock of the era. But his legacy waned due to a prison stint on a weapons violation.

Great to read a mention of the benefit concert for Arthur Lee. Nils Lofgren, Ian Hunter of Mott The Hoople, Ryan Adams, and many other surprise guests will also be appearing in NYC. Love's 1967 LP Forever Changes must be heard to be believed... Besides jamming with and bringing Jimi Hendrix to the world, some of the best and longest drum solos on record are on Love's 1970 album Out Here!
