Emotionally charged article. It was the best year ever. We thank ALL of you who visited and ALL 4000 of you who played your heart out for our city. Music people are the most generous people in the world. we needed your business and you came through!

Hey guys, hope you enjoyed all the pics, it was an amazing time and a pleasure to photograph the event for Jambase. If anyone is interested in purchasing prints of any of my (Adam McCulllough) photographs, I'm selling them through Shutterfly...

50% of all profit goes to New Orleans Habitat for Humanity. As mentioned on my page (page5) I am selling two autographed Karl Denson pictures for the same charity, so lets get some good bids for a good cause. ALL money from the auction goes to H. for Humanity.

Thanks,
Adam

Beautiful photos, and poignant words indeed.

More than anything else, New Orleans needs people like us to visit as often as possible. To interject life and positive energy, which this town so desperately needs.

I have made it a mission to recruit as many as possible for next year's Fest, and hopefully for other times in-between.

Hope to see you there!

Fantastic work as always Kayceman (and the others who contributed). Sounds like Jazz Fest this year was not only monumental musically, but culturally as well. Can't wait to get down there for one of those.

Kayceman--you doing Bonnaroo this year again??

All Loving Liberal White Guy

awesome coverage and pics. shame on bush and fema for letting NOLA suffer like that. somebody should drown michael brown just like he let all those people drown in the flood waters.

Great stuff..I was there once again..and will not ever miss it until the day I die. I too went all over looking at the damage and it was surreal. I only wish I had been hanging with Kayceman instead of my friends!! I would have seen more muisc this year!!!!!

Wow, what an article! The highest highs and just incredible sadness reflects my own Jazz Fest experience. All of us who experienced those incredible two weekends owe it to the people of New Orleans to carry these stories home with us. Tell everyone you know about the spirit of these New Orleanians and how profoundly our government is dropping the ball. The pink house in the photos was next door to where I stayed in the Marigny District...and area considered "spared" from the effects of the storm. You have to see it to believe it. Thanks for the beautiful story. Well done!

I really would like to meet you Kayceman. Anyone who loves New Orleans the way you do for the reasons you do must be good people. Thank you for being so complimentary about the city I love. This city has been in a terriible place emotionally. But, all of you who know what this city is about know that our spirits are irrepressible. And thank you Kayceman for bearing witness. No worries- this too shall pass...

Astral Ptoject next year-- see you there.
