Philadelphia-based band The Disco Biscuits recently released their double live album The Wind at Four to Fly (SCI Fidelity Records/April 18). Back in fine form after the departure of their longtime drummer, this summer The Disco Biscuits hit the road with new drummer Allen Aucoin. The auditioning process was lengthy but they found that Aucoin jumped straight in, meshing with the Biscuits' in the groove, solid feeling called BISCO.

2006 marks The Disco Biscuits' eleventh year of rocking out in their unique musical smorgasbord style which fuses rock, electronic and classical music. The band met at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995 and started off with frat gigs but quickly made the switch to the club scene. Their eclectic live shows gained them a rabid following, making them leaders in the jam and groove scene.

Sounds like a good time, family friendly camp bisco? I didn't make it last year I guess the vibe has changed. I'm thinking The new deal, and U-melt are already confirmed and maybe Umphrey's, too. I heard something about $50 all inclusive festival along the same lines that weekend at Deerfields in Western NC. Incognito Birthday Bash? I think they said infradig, some dj's, fire dancers and other stuff, but I can't find any info on it yet.

UMPHREE'S BETTER NOT BE ADDED. I HEARD PEOPLE TRY TO SAY UM IS BETTER THAN BISCO AT SUMMER CAMP AND THAT IS THE DUBMEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD. I SAW UM AND BISCO PLAY TOGEATHER IN INDY AND BISCO CAME OUT IN UM SECOND SET FOR 20 MIN AND PLAY AN INVERTED DIGITAL BUDDA AND STOLE THE WHOLE SHOW. I EVEN HEARD DIE HARD UM FANS SAY BISCO STOLE THE SHOW. BUT I HOPE PNUMA WILL BE THERE THAY ARE SOME BAD ASS KIDS.
