MUTE MATH NORTH AMERICAN TOUR NOW EXTENDED THROUGH MAY!
 Mute Math |
Mute Math is currently winning over the hearts of music lovers nationwide with their awesome sound and amazing live show. They are an inspired New Orleans electro-alt rock band with a soaring sound that incorporates emotive vocals, hip-hop beats and rock drums, dubby soundscapes fueled by samples and Rhodes piano flourishes, keytars, a homemade instrument (a Theremin-inspired guitar) random gadgets, and whatever random pedals and effects they get their hands on. Live, it's the energy, occasional acrobatics and bouts of instrumental switcheroo that emboldens the player's chops. The band films their live show, nightly, and uploads them to their video blog on My Space (48k fans and counting). They have sold approximately 30k of their debut EP, Reset and completed a 40 city tour in Spring 2005.
Currently, Mute Math is selling out many of their shows on their 2006 late winter tour. And now, the tour has been extended through May! The band is touring behind its self titled album, Mute Math and have moved an impressive 11,500k in 12 weeks - at shows and their online store alone. They have amassed over 30k in new fans at My Space since the tour began (current total of fans is at 61K). Due to the success of this tour, the band has just confirmed appearances on Bonnaroo, Warped Tour and Lollapalooza for Summer 2006. All based on a strong word of mouth that helps consistent growth on a daily basis- They're winning over fans, nightly!

Mute Math Quotes
The new maestros-in-waiting of electro alt rock- Alternative Press 100 Bands You Need to Know in 2006
If Sting and Bono could birth a son, he'd sound something like Mute Math vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Paul Meany. The Nawlins-reared quartet exude a chipper, experimental sound.- AOL Ear to The Ground
Plenty of big, booming hooks...- Metro NY/Boston
So many records just kind of sit there in your stereo, spinning away without going anywhere. That's not the case for Mute Math (Teleprompt Records), a self-titled debut album with some of the coolest dynamics of any rock record you'll hear this year. Mute Math blows up real, real good, a combination of crafty atmospherics, pulverizing guitars and rampaging hammer-of-the-gods rhythms played by a drummer who knows his hip-hop as well as his Keith Moon- The News & Observer
