The boat will leave port from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 2, 2007, floating for five days and five nights with stops in the Turks and Caicos Islands and a special private island, Cayo Levantado in the Dominican Republic.

Since its first journey in 2003, Jam Cruise has revolutionized the music festival experience by blending the community, spontaneity and good times of a music festival with the convenience, luxury, and adventure of cruise travel. The MSC Opera first sailed in 2004 and features swimming pool and whirlpool, a gym and sauna, mini-golf course, internet café, casino and much more. The ship also boasts accommodations for more than 2000 passengers, offering fewer suites but more balconies and ocean views than last year.

I am pretty disappointed with the line-up. I have cruised with them before but this looks a little weak. Who is going to throw down late night? Where is Les? k-Dub? Umphrey's? Bisco? The bands I associate with the boat first and foremost. I like the bands they chose but who is going to rock it harder than les from 1-4. Go big or go home. Hopefully they will announce some more bands and I will keep my cabin. Happy sailing~~~~~

Annabel is to be trusted....she's always put together a great lineup and even if its not your favorite band, the guest artists that are about make each performance special.

I am waiting for Skerik and Mike Dillon to get truely excited.
Ya never know - but last year was GREAT

I went last year=insane...and went for Bela Fleck and the Flecktones which was as good as expected. I saw a guitar workshop and a virtuosos banjo player-former Red Elvis and he was insanely good...I just wondererd why you didn't book him?

Does the jam cruise sell out fast? I am wondering if I'll still be able to sign up if I am a few weeks late on the on-sale....

If you're interested in Drive by Truckers, get The Dirty South and Decoration Day and get to know the songs written by Patterson Hood and by Jason Isbell. It's all about the lyrics, the feel, the songwriting. It's powerful catchy stuff, with good tunes. It's not, however, amazing musically like Trey or Jerry, it's just real good songwriting.

deadfan8198, you're a smart individual. drive-by-truckers' lyrics make me grit my teeth, want to cry, and just plain sing-along. they're full of heart. one moment you'll be contemplating the words while the next moment they'll have you grinning and dancing. i think i'm going to listen to "decoration day" right now.

For those that have attended in the past, what is the "scene" like on Jam Cruise considering it is on a ship rather than the middle of some field? I have been to Bonnaroo and loved the scene there, if people have been to both they could use as comparison. Thanks, Phil

Weak lineup so far. And the same cruise line again , watch out for the cuttlefish stew.
