I really don't appreciate that WSP is not playing at the Backyard in Austin; the closest place is Grand Prairie and the venue absolutely blows. Any venue in Austin is just better for panic than that...oh well maybe they could come in thier gap between Winter Park and Prairie.......hint

Oh yeah the northeast never gets any music their way. Not that I'm a huge WSP fan, but I will prob go to Merriweather though just cause its in my state.

Whatever, fall tour is just around the bend. 3 nights in every city in the northeast and eastern seaboard. schweeeet!

I hate to complain, not being from the North-East, but what about the Gorge????? The shows there last year were great.
Anybody know anything about Stateline, NV?
Is there anywhere to camp nearby? The rooms at the resort that the shows are at are pretty expensive...

What a 4th of July weekend. Three nights in my home town. It doesn't get any better than this! For those of you who don't know "Mont Bleu" is Ceasar's after a buyout and remodel. It looks better inside and outside is still beautiful Lake Tahoe.

Stateline, NV = LAKE TAHOE! Yes there is ample camping and scenery that will make you shit. Possibly one of the most beautiful places in the States. WSP obviously feels the same way! I'll be there.

Everybody needs to chill out a little. The boys have been touring non-stop since '85 except for '04, when they needed a break and some fine tuning. They have gone to all corners of the US and the World to SPREAD the music. I've only been following them since '01, seen them 50+ times and only once in my hometown. Take a lesson from the rest of us who miss work, drive for days, sleep where we fall, get on planes and live our lives in a bag. They always come around close to where you are, and if they don't, you need to make some decisions and sacrifices to see the band you love. If not, see some other music, it wouldn't kill you to expand your musical taste to appetize you until your main dish of PANIC is served up at your local table. Just be happy if you are a die hard that it isn't '04, with NO PANIC, and make your move towards the lingering lead that has taken us this far.

colinj-- Stateline,NV is on Lake Tahoe. There's lots of campgrounds in the surrounding area, but not close by. I imagine that time of year with Panic in town spots will be hard to come by. Stateline is kind of a joke as a town; it was slapped up just across the Cali border and it's all casinos.

colinj - Even though the Gorge shows last year were great, they aren't going to make the treck to Eastern WA when they got such a small turnout(I would guess about 15% capacity at best). As for Stateline, NV its basically Lake Tahoe and is one of the most beautifull places in the country. Tons of places to camp.
And what is with the flack from the Northeast? You know they are going to hit you hard with Fall Tour. Try living in Seattle where 90% of all the shows occur mid-week, so the bands can hit SF for Friday & Saturday nights.
Panic will CRUSH the West Coast this summer and then destroy the East Coast for a huge Fall Tour!

adamben1,
Cheese @ Red Rocks . . . meh. Cheese kicks about as much ass as my three year old sister. Not saying they aren't talented. They just don't rawk. I don't see how people can enjoy shows that are so incredibly anti-climactic.

Maybe bands are starting to log onto jambase to find out where all of the little bitches live? This might explain why there aren't going to certain towns a lot of the time? Just a wild thought.

Jeez, some of you need to chill out--like the doofus who said this would be a "short summer tour." It's 2 solid months of shows, dude...

And rest your weary heads, Panic is sure to roll out with a monster Northeast run on Fall Tour. Here's hoping we get some more Radio City dates, as the venue was the best EVER for Panic, at least indoors.

We'll see you down South and Up East in the fall...try to make a run to Portsmouth and Memphis in the summer. Go PANIC!!!

I live in Guatemala now. From this live music vacuum, I can't wait to return stateside and have Panic dust my sheeet off this summer. Furthermore, I forgot how fun these little comment strings are. I am admittedly dusty, but here goes:
"Hey jerryil, where'd you get those pants, at the Idiot Store?"
Whoah, that felt good.
Now I'm pouring a little mango juice on the ground for all my homies lost to senseless jamband warfare.

With Age comes Wisdom & they've finally figured out the NW is much better in July than November (& the rain). Both the Sierra's, and the NW have some of the best summer weather (albeit short). You can't beat it....and the beauty! Lake Tahoe, the always Amazing Greek, then off to some amazing small, quaint outdoor venues The Cuthbert in Eugene, the little venue outside of Portland, & the two grassy knolls at Marymoor, then Idaho, Jackson Hole, & Winter Park! And yes the Gorge is always amazing but it is quite a process to get there especially if your flying in from out of town. The NE will get theirs in the fall in the most amazing areas in the country that time of year. Then when it cools down head south. If I were to draw up traveling and playing a summer tour I don't think I'd change much to that....Damn well MAKES SENSE TO ME!

bigfro- Rumor has it that they are playing three nights at radio city music hall September 14-16, but they are not yet confirmed, I hope things work out.
gumboots- I have heard Merriweather is tight, but if you are making a trip, you might want to check out Portsmouth. It is a two-nighter and that venue is awesome. It is right on the water at the harbor center, and Panic loves to blow that place up, last year both nights were nasty.
