Tipitina's Artist Relief Project
Featuring: The Soul Project
Friday, March 10th
At The Lounge at Cask 591
Long Branch, NJ

The Soul Project is made up of ten of the finest players on the scene. The band features Christian Duque (guitar, vocals), who has appeared with the likes of Galactic, Theresa Andersson and is a member of Walter 'Wolfman' Washington RoadMasters. Also performing are Big Jeff Harris (percussion), who also lends his talents to the RoadMasters and the Rebirth Brass Band, and Antonio Gambrell (trumpet) who also appears with the RoadMasters and has studied with the likes of Ellis Marsalis and Harold Batiste. These three are just a portion of the fine ten-piece band that comprises The Soul Project.

All money raised will go to Tipitina's Artist Relief Fund, whereby proceeds benefit local musicians in every musical shape and form. There will also be a raffle to win tickets to 2006 Jazz Fest.

These guys inspired a huge spontaneous mardi gras block party in New Orleans last week. They were real good. Look out for 'em at JazzFest.
