LYONS, COLORADO — Planet Bluegrass is proud to announce the complete lineup for the 34th Annual RockyGrass bluegrass festival, held July 28-30 at the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons, CO. The lineup includes the first-ever Lyons performance by banjo legend Earl Scruggs, as well as fellow headliners: folk-bluegrass troubadour Steve Earle & the Bluegrass Dukes, jamgrass phenom Yonder Mountain String Band, and instrumental virtuosos Douglas, Barenberg, and Meyer. Tickets and camping for the festival are on sale now from www.bluegrass.com or 800-624-2422.
Now in its thirty-fourth year, RockyGrass has become one of the most respected and popular bluegrass festivals in the country - the 2004 RockyGrass festival was nominated for Bluegrass Event of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. In past years, tickets for the festival have sold-out weeks before the event, with festivarians traveling from nearly every state in the country to attend the festival.
The festival is held along the wooded banks of the beautiful St. Vrain River. Along with the main stage performances are solo instrument and band contests, a kids area, and campground jams throughout the night at both Meadow Park and the Planet Bluegrass Ranch.
