Clobbernasty
We are pleased to announce the debut of a brand new band out of the San Francisco Bay Area: CLOBBERNASTY. The band features Liam Hanrahan on bass (Zero/Alan Hertz), Martyn Jones on drums (The Mermen), Ryan Vandenbroeck on keyboards (Open Space Project) and Christopher Zanardi on guitar (somethingfour). They will be making their debut at the Connecticut Yankee in San Francisco on February 23rd.

Opening the show will be the three piece instrumental band The Other Lebowski which features John Branch on guitar, Jon Herrera on bass and John Arkin on drums. Very special guest Famous Jamas will be doing live paintings throughout the evening.

Clobbernasty will be reaching into the depths of original compositions and a few covers throughout the night. The music will incorporate instrumental passages that will explore experimental rock and the roots of their California improv upbringing. Be on the lookout for a FREE audio release on archive.org of the show a few days afterwards. This is just the start as Clobbernasty gets revved up and ready to torment the world with their sounds. Please be on the lookout for future announcements regarding more shows and music from Clobbernasty!

I first say Liam Henrahan with Melvin Seals in JGB. That was after his time spent with ZERO!!
This band has some potential!!!

This band WILL be VERY GOOD. Zanardi is a killer guitarist with strong jazz roots infused with ambient psychedelia and tasty licks (think Kimock/Frisell-ish but with more shred). Marytn brings in a ton of experince coming from long-time surf rockers the Mermen, not to mention Liam coming off tours with Melvin and Zero. This will be a great show at a very friendly venue, so get out and support Bay Area Jam. See ya there.
