GRAMMY WINNERS: U2 / KANYE

Gotta love Kanye Chedda, but I'm sick and tired of U2 winning all the time. They are mediocre at best. And no love for Neil Young's best album in decades (no pun intended). But what can you expect? It is the Grammys. Performances were pretty decent suprisingly. Gorrilaz opened, although I would've liked a lot more De La and a lot less Madonna. Paul McCartney with Jay-Z was a pleasant, if predictable, surprise. Could've done without Linkin Park. Best part was the Jammy-esque all-star tribute to Sly Stone. Joss Stone, Robert Randolph, Steve Tyler, Joe Perry, Will.I.Am., Maroon 5, John Legend and some other folks including the man himself. But no "Thank You (Falletinme Be Mice Elf Agin)." Once again, what can you expect. This isn't Bonnaroo. Or is it?

Can i get a" who gives a shit" about the Grammys.
The real future of music is happening late at night in the unheard and unseen venues across the country.

Could someone explain the significant difference between Record of the year and Album of the year. It's got to be more than just semantics.

album is the entire album...record is a single off the album

Grammy’s are for people who need to be told what is "good" because they don't know what good music is or how to find it themselves. Let them have their Grammy’s, we don't want these people ruining our music scene and my concert experience

last time I saw U2 they jammed and did NOT have a full band under the stage playing all the parts. Kanye on the other hand, knows about the jams in ways i couldnt explain.

The Grammy's are not there to tell people what is good music. They are there to award artists that have broken ground in the recording industry. Yes it is an industry and people make money off of it. Oh my god that's horrible I know. Seriously you obviously don't understand the music business at all if you talk shit about the Grammy's. It is damn hard to make an album/record. Many groups overlook this fine craft, which is an artform all it's own. I appreciate being turned off by mainstream, but without it what would be underground.

U2 IS HARDLY "MEDIOCRE" .VERY INNOVATIVE MUSIC AND A WIDE VARIETY OF STYLES . THEY LEARNED THE LESSONS WELL FROM THE OLD GUARDES OF THE 60'S AND THAT INFLUENCE FLOURISHES THROUGHOUT U2'S MUSIC . THE BEATLES WERE/ARE THE ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND AND WHAT I CANNOT COMPREHEND ,IS HOW SOME MUSIC LOVERS OF THE BEATLES ,WHO , FLOYD, ZEP ,ETC. CAN SO EASILY DISMISS THEM .YOU JUST AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION . VERY INNOVATIVE MUSIC AND A WIDE VARIETY OF STYLES. HAVING STATED THAT , I THINK THE STONES SHOULD HAVE WON FOR A BIGGER BANG. THEY CONDENSED THEIR VARIOUS SOUNDS FROM THE LAST 40 YR.S INTO ONE GREAT ALBUM !

The Grammys kick soooo much ass omg dude seriously omg! They're better than the Emmys, the Golden Globes, the Academy Awards, the Jammys, The Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Peoples' Choice Awards, the Country Music Awards, the Kids' Choice Awards, the Razzies, the MTV Music Video Awards, the Tony Awards, and like, the Bluegrass Music Awards. Even if someone could, using amazingly advanced space-age technology bestowed upon us by super all-knowing beings from 2.67 light years away (the very same beings, in fact, who landed here 1200 years ago and gave birth to the first vikings [and I don't mean the football team, this being, after all, a matter of the utmost seriousness]) could genetically splice together all of the aforementioned awards, including all the awards of every year since awards have existed, and including all awards of every parallel universe (as documented in THE secret, Illuminati government concealed, collaborative masterworks of Einstein and Tesla), they would still, as far as my humble, yet exceptionally well-informed opinion is concerned, not even come close to being halfway able of being compared to the GRAMMYS. YEAHHH!!!! that's right, i said the grammys, grammy haterz. U2 ROX!!!!

yea u2 is really groundbreaking making like their tenth record in a row that sounds exactly the same

yeah!! U2 and the Stones can battle it out to see who is the most over rated band in history!! im not really sure who would when my money is on U2 though, but who knows!
