cream is with out a doubt one of he best three peices around.i don't think cream even realizes how huge they would be all over the united states....i say tour, and defenitly hit the south..hell play bonnaroo, that should chill everybody out real good.

Damn, with those numbers they can't say they are doing another tour to get certain band members back on their feet.
I hope they make all the way to the WEST COAST.

Saw Cream at the last MSG show. The show was weak. I would not go again and if the prices are the same I would save my money.

the sad truth is...... that it seems like more of a novelty then about the music.. If Baker and bruce were so good what happened to their careers. Clapton could probobly get a bunch of nasty people together and rip the same setlists harder

Saw them in London and @ MSG, would agree that MSG was a bit weak in comparison to London, but overall weak? I don't think so, esp. considering Ginger Baker is pushing 70! Played a better drum solo than any of these current "jamband" drummers could pull-off nowadays. If you like Blues/Rock with a psychedlic edge, I know of no other band who can top them. Sure they're nothing like they were circa '68 but not too many bands these days can play like those guys can/did. The original "power trio". If they make it to the west coast, you can count me in!

$14.2 million in 7 shows...wow...at that rate it definitely makes sense to play more shows.

Anybody who knocks a man considered by not many, but most to be the greatest rock drummer of all time needs a history lesson. Ask any drummer out there today if they've heard of Ginger Baker and see if you hear any naysaying. I've got a sneaking suspicion that they appreciate a man of that talent too much to even compare themselves, and if they don't then they should.

On the Ginger Baker thread....I was listening to our local jazz station a few months ago and heard some great tunes with Ginger on drums. He apparently has done a fair amount of jazz work since Cream. Does anyone have any information about what he might have worked on?

As for Cream, I saw them on PBS and the show was nostalgic but there wasn't any FIRE in the performance. As musicians, they were all excellent...and Jack Bruce's voice was right on...but I am not sure that I would spend a lot of money on seeing them...I would probably rather remember them as they were.

cream stills got after listening to the reunion cd that was released. They are a legend of a band. Guitar was on baker had some sick soloing and bruce layed down the lines.
But dont get your hopes up for the roo or rusa.

I've been listening to the RAH show for a few weeks
and am surprised that Ginger Baker is the highlight of the show.
"Toad" was the best performance, with
"Deserted Cities of the Heart" the best vocal.

I suppose it was too much to hope for "As You Said",
with Bruce on cello.

Magnificent band...playing better now than ever before. Don`t listen to those begrudgers. They should use their ears!! Way better now than in 1968...I have bad memories of all those distorted, over extended solos..now it`s far better. `We`re Going Wrong`is the stand out track and Clapton`s solo on `Stormy Monday`.
