The White Stripes
The world's most famous rock duo, The White Stripes is set to appear in an upcoming episode of "The Simpsons" this fall.

In the episode, titled "Jazzy and the Pussycats," Jack and Meg end up in the middle of a Simpson family feud after Bart receives a drum kit and becomes a jazz drummer. In one featured scene we find a tip of the hat to The White Stripes' "Hardest Button": Lens Recap where Bart smashes his kit and winds up meeting the Stripes in an intersection near Springfield Elementary.

As MTV News has reported, Jack and Meg recorded their parts in New York on November 30, before Jack lost his voice and was ordered by doctors not to speak. Episodes for the smash hit cartoon take about six months to complete, so "Jazzy and the Pussycats" won't hit the small screen until next season.

i think the simpsons have gone downhill and recent years and these cameos are just the producers trying to spark some interest. If you want hilarity check out the older episodes.

I'll start caring when they can afford a band.

I don't like the White Stripes because they don't play a song , then go into a jam, then bust back into the chorus of the song again. They don't have the textbook space out portions that I've come to cling to in their songs. It's too different, and the vocals and guitar bends are sometimes, I hate to say it, off key. I'm sorry- that's mean. I guess I'm just trying to say that I wish they would sing more about sunrises and adventures with mysteriously kind people.
