There are some more fantastic NYE pictures now up on the Anon Salon website (thanks for these too). I anticipate (at least hope for) more unique collaborations in the jamband scene.

Cheese brings the funk . bottom line. Cheese is badass and could possibly take on the now empty throne (phish) of jams. Not Widespread. Cheese is the Dead for the new century!

If I had been on the west coast that would have been a good place to be. NYC Bisco was the spot to be though!

I'd add that the Dresden Dolls were surprisingly good. Never heard of them before and was impressed for sure...especially at the versatility of the two musicians who bounced back and forth between piano, drums, guitar, vocals; and the trapeze-stylie, rope-climbing, 10-feet-above-the-ground-gymnastics-timed-to-the-music wasn't half bad either.

Went to this party on the 30th and had a blast. Lots of eye-candy; so many different entertaining and original people, from the bands to the vendors to all the colorful fans. In a nutshell: beautiful music, outstanding show, and an amazing band = one hell of a night. Thanks, Cheese.

BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!Couldn't imagine being anywhere else. Cheese is where its at! Don't forget about Radioactive from Spearhead showing up and playing with Cheese and then again with DJ Lorin. I've been to many many NYE shows and this one topped them ALL!!!!!!Can't wait till summer tour!!!!

crazy show.....wild as shit...really diverse crowd tons of energy...really fuckin weird at parts too...sets were pretty good, but the little hands > shine on was complete mind control...those guys had me by the balls...cheese i would say is my favorite band, and have an extremely special place in my heart, but dead of new century? its different times man...cheese can't attract an audience like that...i think these fusion festivals are creating at least a mutual audience somewhat like the dead...but shit...we live in a weird world these days...oh yeah Water from the 30th with billy on the slide was sick

you kids must have forgotten about the 3-day phil lesh and friends run throughout san francisco. The string cheese incident, although fun, does not hold a candle to the grateful dead.

chardog492, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there is no more Grateful Dead. Or did you miss that on the 6 o'clock news 11 years ago? And is it so hard to just comment on the article/review without making others feel like they missed something???

Great review, Tyler!! The Cheese always bring it home, and apparently, this night was no different. Sounds like it was THE place to be NYE in San Fran, although I'm sure Phil and Tea Leaf Green were awesome also. 3 great bands, 1 great city -how can anyone go wrong with any of these choices?

Let's celebrate the music together, with each other, not in spite of each other.
