Weak compared to last year. Still the best festival. I hope they dont change it all that much, because it really worked.

Green Lemon has got to be there. They absolutely tore it down last year with two seperate shows. ALO and Robert Bradley were perfect too. See you there!

good initial line-up but def. weak compared to last yr. this festival needs a big headliner like cheese, umph, bisco, crowes, mule, etc....they should just book all of them to be safe

if claypool ends up in the wakarusa neighborhood, a c2b3 set would be the heat. this lineup is already lookin' groovy. gomez, tim reynolds, and andrew bird are three artists who channel a lot of truth and good vibes but are not typically considered "jam bands". i for one, am pleased with the diversity of the lineup. ddbb will blast the stagnant collective ego of the masses with their humble nawluns brass. it'll be good.

Waka Waka. They are capping attendence at 15K this year. Last year they added a lot of bands including a few of the big headliners after the initial lineup announcement. It's all marketing. They know who is going to play for the most part. Keep the additinons coming every 3-4 weeks and it's an excuse for more press releases.

I'd buy your tickets now. Well worth the early bird special.

line-up looks good so far. Would love it if the John Butler Trio could make it again this year. Needs a bigger headliner like Trey, Panic, Ratdog, or Cheese. But you can't go wrong with tea leaf, yonder, keller, and new moonson. I talked to Brendon from UM and it sounds like they might play.

Hopefully HMHR wins the Fort Collins Battlerusa for a shot to play at Wakarusa. They blew it up at 10KLF last summer, and can expect the same here.

I actually think it's a relief that this festival hasn't accrued anymore "headliners" as of yet. The draw becomes too big sometimes and unpleasant.. Let them have Bonnaroo (and a few others not to mention). Although, the ones that are on there are rising fast enough.

I actually agree w/ shannonshinn - I like it that there aren't any huge bands here. That way the place isn't so much of a clusterfuck. 20,000 is a good # of people - Wakarusa should try to keep it like that.

Oh yeah, and The Balance is going to win the Battlerusa in Omaha, so everyone should be ready to check them out at Wakarusa. The Balance is posed to explode onto the scene.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH. Bernie(the living god)Worrell, Greyboy Allstars, and Dirty Dozen. Sounds like we's gettin' funktified. They need to get The Brothers Groove (from Detroit) to play, that would top off the swank factor. Peace Love and Funk yall.

This lineup is terrible. I was at last years and last years was so much better. i am going to have to pass this one this summer. i am sure that the whole festival experiance will be awesome. but they need to add a couple more big bands.

The person below me has no idea what they are talking about, this is the best lineup yet...and there's still five more months of artist additions to go! In fact they just added The Duo, ALO, Cracker, Donna the Buffalo, Jake Shimabukuro (the crazy guy on the uke) and some others as well. This is definitely going to be the festival of the summer.

clearly anyone who considers this lineup weak has no concept of music outside of "jam" music. i hope they do not add any of these "headliners" because they already have one in Bernie Worrell. That guy has more musical talent in his pinky then most headliners could bring to the table. Great lineup i actualy think its worth going to the middle of no where for once on this one.

Most of these festivals have the same lineup. This one is decent Ill give it that. Bonnaroo year in and year out has the most diverse lineup. All the jambands you could want, maybe a classic rock act or too and upcoming Indie bands. I know Bonnaroo has its problems like the sun, heat and lots of people but it will beat wakarusa again. Loading festivals with the same unoriginal jambands is a horrible idea in my eyes.

Looks like the guy two posts below me is eating his words. "All the jambands you could want.." Sure buddy, whatever you say. Wakarusa is staying true to it's roots and not trying to chase the flavor of the month. There is absolutely no WAY that the Roo is going to beat Waka this year. Have you ever even been to Wakarusa? Because if you have then you've seen what a music festival SHOULD be. Places like Waka, HSMF, Telluride, Summer Camp, Allgood and 10KLK is what it's all about. Bonnaroo will see the light this year when their ticket sales drop through the floor.

WAKA WAKA WAKA!

Wakarusa is gonna be ridiculously good, once again, and again. After this one wraps up, do yourself a favor and head west for the High Sierra Music Festival. If you're like me, you can't help but chuckle reading these posts - Don't worry, all these suckas trying to hate on what we all know is some of the highest quality sounds won't be there anyway! That's the beauty of this festival... the haters' stay away. Grab some clean underwear and head over to Quincy - stop by the Vegas theme camp while you're there and throw some dice. Tell em Matis sent you - NY what! i live for this shit.
