Pink Floyd singer/guitarist David Gilmour will be touring for the first time in decades in support of his upcoming Columbia solo album, On an Island. Set for release on March 6 the album features guests David Crosby, Graham Nash, Pink Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright, Robert Wyatt, Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera and Jools Holland.
In addition to playing on the album, Manzanera serves as a co-producer with Gilmour and Chris Thomas. Orchestral arrangements were courtesy of composer Zbigniew Preisner.
While there are currently no American tour dates, they are expected to be released in the near future.
