The Mutaytor Multi-Media Circus Comes Alive This Fall!
 The Mutaytor |
One of the most exciting and unique stage shows is taking the west coast by storm this fall. Based in Los Angeles, The Mutaytor blends high-octane electronic music and tribal drumming with mind-bending visuals while surrounded by breathtaking fire dancers and aerial performers. Featuring over 100 drums onstage and unbelievable visual backdrops, the troupe also offers fire spinners, Burlesque style dancers, anime characters, and hula artists, all while interacting with the audience and transforming every venue into their own playground. Their intoxicating presence is dazzling audiences across California and the west coast.
With influences ranging from Blue Man Group and Crystal Method to P-Funk and Stomp, The Mutaytor is poised to bring their show to a national audience in 2006. The Mutaytor is the first durable chunk of American music and art to emerge from the Burning Man subculture.
Bandleader, Creator and Drummer Matty Nash says, "We knew exactly how to translate an incredible stage show that was musically and visually breathtaking to any audience."
The Mutaytor has garnered an impressive amount of press, accolades, and TV placements in the past 18 months. They have been featured in The LA Times and The Hollywood Reporter and received the 2005 LA Music Award for Independent Live Performance. The infectious grooves of "Give A Little Mo" and "On Fire Like This" can be heard in recent TV hits including Fox's House and NBC's Hawaii.
In 2005, The Mutaytor has appeared in every setting ranging from high profile headlining shows at The Henry Fonda Theatre in LA and The Fillmore in SF to extravagant corporate parties for clients including PETA, Paramount Studios, HBO, and Cirque De Soleil.
The versatile troupe has also appeared at fairs and festivals such as Coachella, Love Parade, Electric Daisy Carnival and the LA County Fair.
This fall, The Mutaytor is bringing their one of a kind show on the road with appearances scheduled across the west coast. After captivating the crowd at the season opener, The Mutaytor has been invited to perform throughout the LA Kings season as part of the pre-game festivities at the Staples Center. The year will be capped off at LA's Giant Village New Year's party alongside Black Eyed Peas and DJ Z-Trip, where the collective will be featured throughout the night on The Mutaytor Stage in their largest performance to date.
