The Jamm in Jamaica festival presents multiple performances by Donna
the Buffalo, the New York state based hybrid that piles reggae, rock,
country, zydeco, Cajun, and folk on top of old-time fiddle music together. Railroad
Earth will be performing four sets during the week in Negril with their rock 'n' roll as bluegrass gets without losing the bluegrass in the
sound approach.
Under Full Sail is a reunion group made up of the original
ekoostik hookah
band members, based on its 1991 - 1996 line up: Steve Sweney (lead guitar),
Dave Katz (keys/guitar/vocals), Cliff Starbuck (bass/vocals), Eric Lanese (drums)
and John Mullins (guitar/vocals), playing together for the first time since
Mullins departed from the band in 1996.
Former Leftover Salmon front man Vince Herman will act as
the event's emcee as well as performing lively, short sets. Jamm in Jamaica
features additional diverse artists performing: bluegrass up-and-comers Hot
Buttered Rum String Band, Bay Area singer/songwriter David
Gans, and roots rock devotees The Big Wu.
The event will culminate with a massive celebratory coming together facilitated
by The Everyone Orchestra's Matt Butler who will conduct
various members of all of the festival artists in a participatory jam with the
audience.
Donna the Buffalo and ekoostik hookah are no strangers to international events.
In 2004, Donna the Buffalo took hundreds of fans on a week-long Caribbean cruise,
while ekoostik hookah has embarked on three international trips customized for
their fans including two Negril getaways and a week in Amsterdam, Holland.

thirty major airports, seven nights of accommodations in Negril, all airport
