BROTHERS PAST REVEAL FALL TOURDATES

Philadelphia's Brothers Past recently released their new album, This Feeling's Called Goodbye, to a sold out crowd at New York City's Bowery Ballroom. Culminated from almost a year of studio sessions, the band recorded more material than necessary, and then meticulously honed the album down to a concise, well-produced and uniquely mature CD for a young band. The album was produced and mixed by Jon Altschiller at Chiller Sound in New York City, who worked on the Grammy nominated soundtrack for the movie Shrek and with such prominent artists including John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Phish, Lenny Kravitz, Ben Folds and Simon & Garfunkel.

"Don't let the title fool you," Brothers Past guitarist/vocalist Tom Hamilton responded in an interview about the lyrical content of their new album. "This is not an album of sappy love songs any jerk with a guitar and an ex-girlfriend might write. In reality the songs address self-awareness. The lyrics and music communicate what we got out of the past few years and letting it all go. Getting closure on love, art and politics. In many ways, this album is about growth."

Brothers Past is quickly becoming one of the most talked about independent acts in the nation for their innovative and emotive mix of progressive rock, electronica and inspired vocals. Over the past year, the band juggled coast-to-coast touring and extensive studio sessions that resulted in the new album as well as the band's 2004 studio EP statEPolice. These follow the band's first full-length release, the December 2002 critically acclaimed, A Wonderful Day. The Philadelphia Inquirer called A Wonderful Day "excellent and engrossing." The band has drawn favorable comparisons to Depeche Mode, Radiohead, The Cure, Amon Tobin and DJ Shadow.
