Phil Lesh by Tony Stack |
Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh will be performing his only concert dates of the summer appearing July 15th at The Fillmore Auditorium and July 16th at Red Rocks Amphitheater with his all star musical aggregation – Phil Lesh & Friends.
Lesh, whose recently penned memoir Searching For The Sound – My Life With The Grateful Dead (Little Brown) has found a place on the New York Times Best Seller List, has said in numerous published interviews that he considers Red Rocks Amphitheater to be one of his favorite places to perform. Joining Lesh in his continuing musical adventure is Ryan Adams, whose recent release Cold Roses has been compared to the Grateful Dead's classic American Beauty by Rolling Stone Magazine and is one of the best selling releases of the summer. Also joining Phil is keyboardist Rob Barraco, guitarists Jimmy Herring, Barry Sless, and drummer Jeff Sipe. Expect Phil Lesh & Friends' unique brand of highflying musical improvisation to provide much in the way of joy for Dead Heads during Phil Lesh's only concert appearances this summer.
