Lotus launches a brand new website and announces the summer tour supplementing the band's appearance at music festivals including Smilefest, Wakarusa, High Sierra, and All Good. Shows include stops on coasts left and right and a large helping in the center. More tour dates will be announced as they are confirmed. In the cracks Lotus plans to begin work on the follow-up to their 2004 studio debut Nomad. The new website is still located at www.lotusvibes.com.
Things kick-off with the first Lotus Rocks Off Boat Cruise in NYC on May 25th. Then the official start of festival season, Memorial Day. Lotus will play the late night slot at Smilefest in Deerfields, NC keeping the party going until sunrise. Friday June 6th is at Beartopia in Yonkers, NY and Saturday the 7th is at The Gathering in Pulaski, NY.
Lotus headlines the official Pre-Wakarusa party at The Bottleneck in Lawrence, KS on Wed. June 15th, before performing at the festival on Thursday.
Friday June 17th Lotus rolls into Denver's Cervantes' Masterpiece Theatre, and Saturday at The Blue Door in Snowmass, CO for a post-Chili Pepper and Brewfest party. Thursday June 23rd Lotus is back at The Fox Theatre in Boulder, Friday at The Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins, and at the Fat Tire Bike Festival in Crested Butte on Saturday.
Lotus appears at the High Sierra Music Festival for the first time with a late night show on Friday July 1st, and an evening slot on Saturday.
The tour will then be head east, rolling through the Midwest and ending up at the All Good Festival in Masontown, West Virginia on July 16th. The tour comes full circle returning to NYC for the second Zen Livetronica Festival on July 24th.
