Dave Matthews Band announced today the dates for their 2005 summer tour. Thus far 39 concert appearances have been locked in for 28 cities across the country. More dates will be added in the coming weeks. As it stands now, the tour begins on Wednesday, June 1st in St. Louis, Missouri at the UMB Bank Pavilion with dates confirmed through September 7th when the band plays Bonner Springs, Kansas.
This summer, the band will be supporting a brand new studio album which is expected to be released in May on RCA Records. DMB recorded the new album in their Charlottesville, VA studio with producer Mark Batson behind the board. Fans can expect to hear lots of new material from the band on this year's summer tour.
Highlights on this year's trek through America include stadium shows in Los Angeles (Home Depot Center) and San Francisco (SBC Park), a stop at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN and an early date at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage on April 30th.
