 Soto with Les Paul |
NEW YORK – Warming up for the band's show the following night at B.B. King's in Times Square, deSoL lead guitarist Soto brought his Les Paul to meet the Real Deal on Monday, February 7 at Iridium Jazz Club. Soto was cordially invited on stage by Les Paul himself, and jammed with the legendary Master on a pair of blues standards. Les asked Soto to stick around for another number, but he graciously declined and returned the spotlight back where it truly belonged.
deSoL's vibrant and colorful live show – an infectious musical display that forces audience members out of their seats – has been pivotal in seeing the Asbury Park, N.J.
"rock band with a Latin soul" earn praise in the likes of The New York Times, Boston Globe and New York Post. deSoL's self-titled debut CD will be released in June on CURB Records. The first single, "Karma," will be shipped to Triple A radio March 28 in conjunction with deSoL's showcase at Austin, TX's world class music conference, SXSW.
