This February,
Detroit's own progressive rock & soul act, Bump, will be leaving the
comforts of the Midwest for an 11-show run of the beautiful state of
Colorado. Bump's first tour of 2005, recently named "Bump's Colorado
Spectacle 2005," has this Motown powerhouse traveling from ski towns to
college towns to big cities all in just a 13-day span. Embracing their
recent nod by Jambase.com as one of the "Bands to See in 2005," Bump is
prepared to give the great people of Colorado a run they will not forget.
Bump concluded
2004 by overcoming an array of obstacles and rising to the challenge. In
August of 2004 Bump returned to its original four-piece line up and went
right into the studio and recorded their first studio EP, The Heart of
Cadillac Square. In the fall of 2004 Bump made its first trip out east
playing some stellar shows in Burlington, Hartford and New York City.
Bump rounded out the rest of the year with opener slots in Detroit for
Umphrey's McGee and KDTU before selling out the historical Magic Stick
club in downtown Motorcity for their CD release party.
Bump is eager to
make 2005 their first year as a full time band, and looking forward to
some great festival slots this summer as well as getting back into the
studio to record their first full length album. This Colorado Spectacle
of 2005 is surely one not to be missed!
