Steve Bernstein
Saturday, December 18th, The Jazz House presents the world premiere of Steven Bernstein's Diaspora Hollywood!

Steven Bernstein of Sex Mob, John Zorn fame will be in the Bay Area on December 18 at the Berkeley Fellowship Hall. The Jazz House is proud to bring Steven to the Bay Area as he kicks-off his tour supporting his latest CD on the Tzadik label, third in a series, titled Diaspora Hollywood.

For those of you not familiar with John Zorn's label Tzadik, or the Radical Jewish Culture series, OR Bernstein's own Diaspora series, this is the third installment following his very successful Diaspora Soul, and Diaspora Blues outings. Check out what All About Jazz had to say about the release:

"Trumpeter/composer/bandleader Steven Bernstein may have made his name with groups as far-flung as Sex Mob and the Lounge Lizards, but it is quite possible that his most enduring work, the effort that will be most remembered when people look back at a long and fruitful career, is his series of Diaspora recordings on John Zorn's Tzadik label and its Radical Jewish Culture imprint."

This will be a unique and memorable night of music in the Bay Area that no Jazz aficionado should miss!

December 18th, 2 shows, 8:00 & 9:30 p.m., at the Berkeley Fellowship Hall.

$12 per show
