Bonerama; New Orleans' funk rock and brass revolutionaries release LIVE From New York with special guests Stanton Moore and Fred Wesley.

"The band's new release, LIVE From New York shatters any preconceived notions listeners may have about the role of the trombone in a musical ensemble. There are passages psychedelically mind melting, hauntingly beautiful, furiously syncopated and filled with scorching virtuosity."
-City Life Magazine, Nov. 2004

Bonerama has been a prominent force on the New Orleans music scene for several years now but has recently been traveling the country to spread their "only in New Orleans" brand of brass, rock and funk to packed houses from New York to San Francisco while recently becoming the talk of the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival in September.

The much anticipated follow up recording to their critically acclaimed 2001 debut Live at the Old Point, Bonerama's LIVE From New York is hot off the presses and landed in New Orleans area stores and the Bonerama website storefront this week. A surprise world premiere on WWOZ-FM New Orleans last Friday brought exciting responses from around the world about the new CD.

Arming themselves with special guests Stanton Moore of Galactic and living legend Fred Wesley on trombone, Bonerama recorded two nights at Tribeca Rock Club in lower Manhattan this past March. The shows featured fiery new originals, an awesome collection of covers and brash jamming between the band and the two drum kits of Stanton Moore and Chad Gilmore.

Bonerama is comprised of trombonists Mark Mullins, Craig Klein, Steve Suter and Brian O'Neill plus guitarist Bert Cotton, sousaphonist Matt Perrine and Chad Gilmore on drums.
