Warren Haynes' 16th annual Christmas Jam will once again take place at North Carolina's Asheville Civic Center. This year's festivities will be held on Saturday, December 18, at 7 p.m. As in years past, the all-star jam session will feature a mix of longtime Haynes associates and special guests, as well as a special acoustic set from the guitarist himself. At press time, Haynes' band, Gov't Mule, is the only act confirmed, though one can hope for a cross-section of the busy players' "Friends" or "Brothers."
The Allman Brothers Band, Blues Traveler, Bob Weir, moe., North Mississippi All-Stars, Phil Lesh and Friends, Robert Randolph and Mike Gordon are among the acts who have performed at the Christmas Jam in years past. Like always, this year's Christmas Jam is a charity event, benefiting Habitat for Humanity.
