IT WENT DOWN PROPER IN FT. LAUDERDALE
The Heavy Pets threw it down on NYE for a hometown dance party with legendary guitar player Eric Krasno (Soulive, Lettuce, Chapter 2), South Florida electro-soul act Aquaphonics and a turntable set by DJ KRAZ at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale. Krasno took the stage with THP for a three song sit-in of THP tunes including “Nautilus,” “Keep Me Running” and “Dew Point,” and then made a surprise return to the stage during The Pets second encore for a 25-minute exploratory “So Thank You Music.” The evening also included sets by Beat Thief Inc. featuring Jessiah Weston of Aquaphonics on drums, DJ Milky and DJ Hi-Grade.
