On September 7, Particle's long-awaited Launchpad Remixes EP will be released.  Featuring Groove Armada's Tom Findlay, Sugar Daddy's Tim Hutton, and the vocals of Sam Obernik, the Launchpad Remixes will first be available for download via the iTunes music store prior to being released on CD and vinyl later that month.

Before returning to the road this fall for their 30-city trek, Particle will play their 500th show at the infamous Burning Man festival on September 4.  The full tour begins on September 15; key stops include a third consecutive appearance at The Austin City Limits Music Festival, Cyberfest, Voodoo Music Experience and a Halloween blowout at The Roxy Theatre in Boston.  Particle will celebrate their fourth anniversary with a hometown show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on October 2, with New Monsoon to open.  DJ Logic will appear with the band between October 12 and 27 showcasing his patented beats.  DJ Harry will also be joining the band from November 2nd through 13th. From there Particle will make their debut trek to Europe in December with confirmed appearances in London, Glasgow, and Amsterdam.

In the past four years Particle's momentum has been unprecedented as evidenced from their growing legion of fans termed "Particle People."  The band's debut recording, Launchpad, was released in March on the Or Music label. Rolling Stone raved of the album's "thumping, disco-fueled beats," while The Washington Post called the music "A slam-dunk of energetic, addictive space-funk" and the Associated Press proclaimed, "This is a record that demands your attention from start to finish." The quartet consists of Eric Gould on bass, Charlie Hitchcock on guitar, Steve Molitz on keyboards, and Darren Pujalet on drums.
