Currently on tour with Steel Pulse and not even out of high school, 17 year old singer songwriter Trevor Hall is poised for the next level. Showing skill and style far beyond his age we are happy to introduce you to a young man on the rise:
Where are you from?
I am from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
What artist(s) inspired you to start playing music?
I think the artist who really inspired me to play was Ben Harper. When I heard The
Will To Live I knew that I had to do something like that.
What brought you to L.A.?
I came to L.A. to attend a performing arts (high) school called Idyllwild Arts where I study classical guitar.
What's it like to play with a band versus playing solo acoustic?
The band gives the music a little more energy where as when I play solo acoustic, it is more about intimacy
What's it like opening for Steel Pulse? Are those the biggest crowds you've ever been in front of?
They are definitely the biggest crowds I have been in front of. It is such a rush playing for larger audiences. Steel Pulse is such an amazing band and they are such beautiful people. The guitar and keyboard player came up and played on my last song
with me last night in Detroit which will always be a memory. It is such a blessing to watch them perform every night and learn constantly from them. Being on the road is what they do... it is their life.
What's next for Trevor Hall?
After the tour I am going back to school for my final year of high school. After that I hope to really focus on the music and work on spreading it to whoever enjoys it. Hopefully it will take me somewhere.
