Jake Shimabukuro To Lead World's Largest Ukulele Ensemble

JAKE SHIMABUKURO GOING FOR GUINNESS WORLD RECORD
WITH OVER 1,500 UKULELE PLAYERS

This Saturday, October 22, Jake Shimabukuro will lead over 1,500 ukulele players from all over the world in a unified performance at the Waikiki Shell Amphitheater in Honolulu. The event, "Go For Da Record," is set to break the Guinness World Record for the largest ukulele ensemble in the world. The current record was set in Sweden on August, 20 2011 with 1,547 participants.

Funds raised during "Go For Da Record" will go toward music and art programs in Hawaii and the Rainbow for Japan Kids organization which invites Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims to Hawaii to experience a cultural retreat. Click here for more information on Go For Da Record.
