The Stone Roses Reunite for World Tour in 2012

The Stone Roses Reunited
Seminal Manchester rockers The Stone Roses have announced they will reunite for two shows at Heaton Park in Manchester on June 29-30 2012, followed by a world tour.

The announcement was made at a press conference in London, where all four original members were present including Ian Brown (vocals), John Squire (guitar), Mani (bass), and Reni (drums).

The Stone Roses were at the forefront of the "Madchester" scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s along with New Order, Happy Mondays, The Charlatans and more, which combined elements of alternative/psychedelic rock and dance music. The band released two albums during their existence: their self-titled 1989 debut and their misunderstood follow-up, 1994's Second Coming.

Tickets for the two Manchester shows go on sale at 9.30 am this Friday, October 21. For more information, click here to head to the band's newly launched official website, and check out some classic Stone Roses clips below.
