Über Cobra is Panic's first live acoustic album and second release from the shows taped at the wonderful House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC in November 2003. The band has enjoyed playing the House of Blues since 1997 and is excited to be releasing live shows from such a great venue.
Another long standing and successful relationship the band has is with artist Flournoy Holmes. They brought him to the HOB to photograph the shows and then design all of the packaging for the releases while they were on vacation. These stunning images of Nagas were taken on Flournoy's recent visit to Thailand. His work began with the band on Space Wrangler in 1988 and he has since designed 'Til the Medicine Takes, Another Joyous Occasion, Don't Tell the Band and Night of Joy.
Night of Joy, the first release from the HOB shows, is a compilation from November 6 & 7. Night of Joy is both a follow up and companion to Another Joyous Occasion released in 2000; both CD's feature Widespread Panic performing with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band on horns and rhythm.

Widespread Records was founded in February of 2000 for the purpose of releasing a few choice Widespread Panic live performances. The first was the release of Another Joyous Occasion (2000) featuring the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. In 2001, WR teamed up with Sanctuary Records to release the studio album, Don't Tell The Band. Next came a collaboration between Widespread Panic and long time friend Vic Chesnutt recording under the name Brute. This studio album entitled CO-Balt was released in 2002 as was Widespread Panic's first full length live concert video, Live at Oak Mountain and the movie The Earth Will Swallow You. Next came the triple album, Live In The Classic City, released jointly with Sanctuary and in September of 2002, the release of Door Harp, Widespread Panic's founding member, Michael Houser's posthumous solo project. In Feb 2003, Live From The Backyard in Austin, TX DVD And Widespread Panic's 8th studio release, Ball, were released.
